Need work completed?
Explore more than temp staffing.
Temporary employment agencies help businesses fill roles and shifts. But if the need is a defined digital outcome—like checking an app, testing a voice flow, or verifying approved data—a managed AI-and-human workflow might be a better fit.
PhonesThatPay is developing this option with HDP. It is not currently a temp agency, placement service, or a marketplace offering paid shifts.
Staff a position.
Or commission an outcome.
These models solve different problems. PhonesThatPay is exploring an alternative for appropriate digital tasks, not promising to replace people or an established staffing firm.
Illustrative differences, not comparative prices or guaranteed service availability. All phone tasks require permission, security review and agreed scope.
A digital-work alternative worth testing.
Our first focus is authorized real-device mobile QA: small, measurable outcomes with explicit client acceptance criteria. Other task types remain exploratory.
Human judgment.
AI coordination.
Auditable evidence.
PhonesThatPay proposes a blend of authorized human activity, real Android devices, AI-assisted orchestration and QA checks. The program is designed within HDP's SI8 Business Operating Systems Architect & Operator approach.
Proposed operating model. No open staffing pool or automated dispatch is claimed.
Looking for a temp agency job?
If you need a paying job or shift right now, an established staffing agency, employer or public workforce center is the appropriate place to look. PhonesThatPay cannot currently offer placements, shifts or guaranteed income.
If you're curious about participating in future client-authorized device testing, you can express free interest in the AI Test Pilot beta—without purchasing a special phone.
A pilot isn't a job offer.
Submitting your interest does not create an employment relationship or a paid contract. We will not require you to purchase hardware in exchange for potential work. Actual opportunities, classification, compensation and device permissions require separate arrangements.
The SI8 name refers to HDP's operating-systems architecture and operations approach—not a government-issued employment credential or a staffing license.
Is an AI workforce a temp agency alternative?
Is PhonesThatPay a temp agency?
No. PhonesThatPay is currently an HDP pilot venture for potential human-supervised mobile work and managed digital outcomes. It does not currently place workers into shifts, maintain an open job board, or provide temp staffing.
Can I hire a digital worker through HDP today?
You can submit a scoped business inquiry for review. A paid service would require verification of feasibility, devices, consent, operating requirements, price, and a written agreement. There is not yet an on-demand fleet of available digital workers.
What makes a pilot different from a staffing shift?
A scoped pilot focuses on an acceptance-tested result rather than filling a general job role. Suitable digital tasks may be partially automated, but human oversight and approved device actions are still important.
Can I apply for temp agency work here?
No active jobs or placements are available through this site. If you want to learn about a potential future participant program, read the AI Test Pilot beta page, and use conventional employment resources for immediate job opportunities.
How are participants classified and compensated?
Those details have not been established for paid operations. HDP must assess applicable labor and worker-classification rules, including California law, and disclose terms before any paid assignments. Expressing interest is free.
